The one of the more popular yearly events is the Trunk'r'Treat event that takes place at the City Park. The event usually takes place on the Sunday before Halloween and offers a fun and safe atmosphere for neighbors and friends to get together and give out candy!

Mayor's Tree Lighting Ceremony

The Mayor's Tree Lighting Ceremony takes place the week after Thanksgiving at Edwardsville City Hall as well as the Community Center. The Mayor kicks off the evening by lighting the tree, followed by a performance by the Edwardsville Elementary Choir. The night continues with crafts and coco at the Community Center as well as a visit from a certain jolly old elf.

City-Wide Clean Up

The City hosts an annual City-Wide Clean Up that takes place the third Saturday of May. This gives residents the opportunity to get rid of large or bulky items that would not typically be picked up with regular curbside service. City staff and elected officials volunteer to help residents dispose of large items, e-waste, and scrap metal.
